The Only Absolute Method
Software overwrite methods, even NIST 800-88 Purge level, leave theoretical questions about data in SSD over-provisioned space and reallocated HDD sectors. Physical shredding eliminates every question. You cannot recover data from 5mm metal fragments — full stop.

Common Questions
A hard drive destruction service uses industrial shredding equipment to physically reduce hard drives, SSDs and other storage media to particles smaller than 5mm — the NIST 800-88 "Destroy" specification. This makes data recovery physically impossible by any known method, including advanced forensic laboratory reconstruction.
No. Physical shredding to <5mm particles is absolute. Even the world's most advanced data recovery facilities cannot reconstruct data from shredded drives. The magnetic coating on HDD platters and the NAND chips on SSDs are physically broken beyond any recovery threshold. This is why physical destruction is recommended for any drive that held sensitive financial, medical or personal data.
Yes. Our mobile shredding unit visits your Kochi premises for on-site destruction — data never leaves your building. Your team can watch every drive go through the shredder. Available Monday–Saturday with 48-hour advance booking. Minimum 50 drives. Ideal for banks, hospitals, government offices and defence contractors in Infopark, Kakkanad and across Ernakulam.
SSDs contain NAND flash chips where data persists in ways that standard software overwrite cannot fully address due to wear-leveling and over-provisioning. Physical shredding to <5mm particles ensures the chips themselves are broken, preventing any form of chip-level data reconstruction. For enterprise SSDs with sensitive data, we offer <2mm destruction on request.
Our Certificate of Destruction for hard drive shredding includes: unique certificate number, your company details, a list of every destroyed drive with make/model/serial number, destruction method (NIST 800-88 Destroy), particle size achieved, date and time, our technician ID, and KSPCB authorization number. Digital PDF and physical original within 24 hours.
While the DPDP Act 2023 doesn't mandate a specific destruction method, it requires that personal data be permanently destroyed when no longer needed. Physical shredding is the highest-assurance method and is the most defensible evidence that destruction has occurred. Our Certificate of Destruction with NIST 800-88 Destroy notation is accepted by all major auditors as satisfying the DPDP Act's destruction obligation.
